Product Overview
Engineered Wood Flooring

Engineered flooring is 100% real wood, consisting of two or more layers of wood using a cross-directional way to adhere together to form a plank. Typically, engineered wood flooring uses a thin layer of genuine premium hardwood bonded to a core constructed. This construction counteracts the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract with seasonal changes in temperature and humidity, making engineered products more dimensionally stable. This stability makes flooring that can be installed over all types of subfloors above, below or on grade.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between engineered flooring and solid hardwood?
Engineered products use cross-directional laminated construction with a genuine hardwood wear layer (1.2mm to 6mm), making them more dimensionally stable against humidity changes compared to solid wood made from a single piece.
How does engineered flooring differ from laminate flooring?
Engineered flooring features a real hardwood veneer on the surface, while laminate flooring uses a photographed image of wood. Unlike laminate, many engineered products can be refinished.
What are the main benefits of choosing hardwood flooring?
Hardwood floors offer unique grain patterns, natural color variations, are long-lasting, and very easy to clean compared to other flooring types.
Where can engineered wood flooring be installed?
Due to its stable construction, it can be installed on all levels of a building, including above, on, or below grade (subfloors).
What installation methods can be used?
Our flooring supports direct glue down, floating installation, and mechanical fastening methods depending on the project requirements.
What kind of maintenance does the flooring require?
The flooring features a UV finish with aluminum oxide, making it highly resistant to stains and scratches, and easy to maintain with standard cleaning.
